Use StealDeals.net to Save Money

28 November 2007 - 02:56 PM by Chris

Update: StealDeals.net has rebranded as DealStop.com. I never did like .net TLDs anyway. Good for them. I've updated/removed links, but left the original text the same.

There are some things in life that you just have to buy: food, clothes, flat panel HDTVs. Of course, when life dictates the purchase of a new TV, you might as well save a few bones in the process.

Enter DealStop.com. A site dedicated to rounding up the best deals on the Internet and serving them to you in bite-sized pieces. Some deals featured recently include a 25% off coupon code at DisneyShopping.com, a Pioneer 5.1 speaker system that normally sells for $400 for only $100, and a heads-up that the American Express My Wishlist promotion has begun.

Visit the site on a regular basis, sign up for a daily email, or subscribe to the RSS feed. Whatever you do, save some money using DealStop.com.

The Return of Amazon Customers Vote

7 November 2007 - 09:51 PM by Chris

cv_customer-discussions_avatarAmazon is bringing back one of the best e-commerce promotions ever in Customers Vote. Maybe you remember that last year, they sold 1000 XBox 360 game consoles at $100 each in just 27 seconds. Unfortunately, I was shut out.

Here's how it works: First you vote for the product you want in each round. Then you come back on each round's buying day to see if you were randomly selected to be offered a deal on that product. The product that gets the most votes in each of six rounds will be offered at a ridiculous winning price, and the two runners-up will also be offered at a discount.

Voting begins this year on November 15, with the first actual chance to buy on Thanksgiving (November 22).

Maybe they'll offer some fantastic unlocked smart phone...
